Let's have some fun

Come play with me, Lukie! Just sit back and relax and I will make you my little plaything. Here are some sunglasses for you and me to use. How do we look?

This is kind of fun.

OK, now I am not so sure about this. Why is everything so dark? Is it time to sleep? Mamaaaaaaaaa!

Thanksgiving 2006

This was last year in Memphis,TN on Thanksgiving Day.

Daniel, Tim, Ashley, Grandpa and Grandma Dorius and me.

Tim and me.
This year we are going to miss Great-Grandma Dorius and Alyssa who is currently serving a mission in the Phoenix, Arizona Spanish Speaking Mission.

Daniel and Ashley.
Every year we go to the park by the house to feed the duckies and sometimes we even play. Last year we had a lot of fun playing in the park and Daniel helped us with Ashley who kept trying to run away from us.
We are looking forward to going to Memphis next week!! I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Our daily activities

Playing with Ashley and Lucas has been so much fun. Ashley is such a funny daughter and sister. Lucas is the best baby ever!! He loves to be held and enjoys being in Ashley's room and watching her play. For Ashley, Lucas is just another toy so I have to keep an eye on her all the time but for the most part she is great! Here are some pictures of our daily activities.

Ashley loves to go to the park. The weather has been great here in Oklahoma so we have taken advantage of that.

As most of you know we are always running late for church. About a month ago we were all ready 30 min before church starts!!! That never happens in this house so we decided to take a picture of that to show you that anything is possible. Hahaha.

Last week we had play group at our house. The kids were having fun and Lucas as you can see fell asleep in his jumperoo. I didn't even notice until my friends pointed out at me. He didn't let me know he was tired; he just fell asleep. Isn't he adorable??

Last Tuesday we received the news that great-grandma Dorius passed away. We were sad about the news so Ashley decided to make a painting for Grandpa Dorius just to make him smile. By the way this is her first time working with watercolors and overall she did pretty well.

This is Tim and his parents and his maternal grandparents in Orem, UT. Tim was able to go there for the funeral.

Halloween!!

The week of Halloween was crazy for us with Tim having his second round of tests (he did well on them). Anyways we were busy with other things so we didn't have time to go to a Pumpkin Patch or even carve a pumpkin but we did have a great week overall. The night of Halloween we went to the church for a carnival. Since, our neighborhood is pretty new and there aren't many houses built, we thought it would be better to go to the church. At the church Ashley had fun playing with her friends from nursery and we had the opportunity to meet more people from the ward which is always a good thing. When it was time to go out to trick or treat we went to our friends' home. They were having a haunted house in their garage. It was so much fun , especially because we met with Larry and Lauren Murray and their new baby. They are our friends from Norman who moved to Jenks not long ago. They were in town visiting family and it was fun to hang out with them before they headed back to Jenks. The fun didn't end there; the Johansens came by our house on their way to Alicia's parents' home. Ashley had lots of fun with Brent and Kaylee. We are glad that our house is on their way between Fort Worth and Cleveland, OK. It's always nice when friends visit us!

Lucas felt asleep before we even left the house.

Me and the kids.

This is my cute little pumpkin witch!

Here we are about to eat our Halloween cake which was supposed to be a pumpkin. Ashley had a great time decorating it and eating the frosting!!

Finding things to do.

On Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00pm to 9:00pm the Mall by our house has something called "Family Night". We love it! They have all kinds of fun things for the kids.
Ashley enjoys holding Lucas. She is such a great sister!!

Ashley's favorite thing to do is ride the horses. On Friday and Saturday night it is FREE! and we take advantage of not having to pay for it. Isn't that great??

This is at the Sooner Mall. We went to Norman this weekend and I remembered the first time I went to this Mall and who would have thought that I will be there watching my kids play when my plan was to stay here in the States for only 3 months!!. You never know what life holds for you.

Ashley loves going to the pool at the YMCA.

Paraguay

This is me and Lucas at the Oklahoma City Airport. I was smiling I guess I had no clue how this trip was going to be with a 2 month old baby and a 2 year old toddler.

Overall Lucas was great. Tylenol works great when you double the dose...Just kidding..Well maybe not. hahaha

Here we are at the airport in Paraguay! My mom, sisters, and nieces and nephews came to pick us up. It was so fun to see all of them and especially to see Ashley again!! One of my sisters curled Ashley's hair and she looked great. She was excited to see me and to see Lucas; the only problem was that at first I couldn't understand a word she said and a couple of hours later I finally figured it out...she was speaking Spanish!!! Her Spanish is great only that now after being back for a month she is mixing it with some English and it sounds really cute.

At my parents' house we have a tradition that every time someone comes to visit or someone leaves on a trip we celebrate it with steak ( this is just another excuse to have steak which is my family's favorite dish. :) Another rule is that you always get dessert (if you ever wondered why it is that I like sweets so much now you know) Ashley definitely took advantage of that. My parents feed the kids first and anything left after the kids eat is given to the adults. I don't know if I like this rule that much; I sure did when I was a little girl.

This is Ashley and Jose. They had a great time together especially watching Discovery Kids.

This is at Mama Cristi's home. Here is Mama Cristi, Cristi, Ashley, Caro and Maricel.

This is Ashley and her cousin Martin. I think he is her favorite cousin. When they are together you better watch them because you never know what they are up to.

This is Mama Cristi and Ashley. Ashley misses her. She says,"I want subir avion Mama Cristi" (I want to go home on an airplane with Mama Cristi).

Here is Papa Luis, Ashley, Cristi and Martin.

This is my family!! Mom and Dad. Carina, me, Maricel, Ingrid and Carlos.

Mama Cristi ans Lucas.

To finish I wanted to include a picture of our friends from Oklahoma that have moved to Argentina about 3 months ago and we got to visit with them on our way back to the States. We didn't stay there very long but it was nice to visit with them and have the kids play together like they used to do. They picked us up, took us to their beautiful home, and took us back to the airport. They are a great family. Thanks, Andersons!

Our first Home!!

We just wanted to have a picture of our first home which was in Owasso, Ok. The minute I saw it I knew I wanted to live there. We miss the house and neighbors but we also like our house here in Moore. We just don't have the same cool neighbors:) These pictures were taken on the 18th of May as we were leaving our house:( The people buying it were inside checking EVERYTHING before signing the papers. I must admit that I had tears in my eyes as we drove away but I also knew that everything was going to be OK. Well you have to understand... I was 8 months pregnant and it was my birthday and I was homeless:) Just kidding; some great friends offered us to stay with them until we could move to our rental house and we are very grateful for them and their kindness.
